The PopUp Mainframe Certification Program
The PopUp Mainframe Certification Program is a structured training program which ensures every participant gains practical, market-ready competencies on the PopUp Mainframe product. It helps individuals attain full PopUp proficiency to ensure maximum value is achieved with the PopUp.
Course Overview
The Program consists of self-paced online training videos alongside hands-on sessions on a PopUp environment. After successful completion of the training program and the exam questions the students will become PopUp Certified. The course format can be modified to suit trainee availability and preferences.

Note: This is not a mainframe training course, mainframe experience is assumed.
Eligibility
PopUp Mainframe clients and partners are eligible to join the PopUp Mainframe Certification program. The program is delivered as part of PopUp Mainframe implementation service to our clients or through our approved SI/service partners​.
Pre-requisites
Infrastructure requirements
- A PopUp environment which can be used for training. This could be in the cloud (Azure or AWS) or on-prem, and must be accessible to the students. See system requirements for details.
- An interface to the PopUp, this can be via a 3270 emulator such as IBM PCOMM, or an IDE such as VSCode with Zowe Explorer.
- Network connectivity with appropriate ports open to enable the student to connect to their PopUp through the Linux layer and z/OS layer.
Non-Infrastructure requirements
Trainees are expected to have familiarity with z/OS including administration, as well as Linux command-line basics.
